Creamy Cayenne Garlic Spread

Raw garlic is such a healthful and versatile food and is known for its anti-fungal, anti-bacteria, and anti-viral properties. It is excellent in combating a cold or flu and for candida overgrown. I add fresh, raw garlic to fresh press juices, smoothies, salad dressings, pestos, and this creamy spread which all maintain its potency…essential for reaping its  maximum health benefits.

Ingredients:

2 garlic bulbs, cloves peeled

2 Tb. fresh lemon juice

1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

1/2 tsp. fine sea salt

3/4 cup unfiltered olive oil

Preparation:

1.  Combine all ingredients in a Vitamix or other high-speed blender and purée until creamy, about 1 minute.

2.  Enjoy spread on pizza, crackers, added to salad dressings, in wraps, or atop a Vegan Lentil Burger.

Variation:

There are so many flavor options for this blend.  Instead of cayenne try 1/2 teaspoon of ground sumac, chipotle powder, or hot curry powder.  Or make a blend using 1 teaspoon herbs d’ Provence or ground sundried tomatoes in place of the cayenne.
