Do you ever wonder why I do the work I do? One word. CANCER! At nineteen years old, I was diagnosed with melanoma which was one more health complication I could plunge into the pool of my years of illness.
Contracting skin cancer was the last straw and I knew something had to change in order for me to live disease free. That change was to alter my diet, lifestyle habits, and to eliminate the ‘sick story’ from my psyche. To support my transition from ill girl to wellness warrior, I pursued a career as a Natural Foods Chef and Holistic Health Counselor. The education received helped me transform not only my health, but that of a growing and loyal clientele. This is my life’s work. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing clients lose excessive weight, reduce chronic pain, reverse high blood pressure, and beat cancer and diabetes.
Stop and think for a moment. How many people do you know who complain about their health? How often do you get sick? Do you wonder what a dietary change would do for your health and that of your family? The holistic wellness industry is exploding and it is health coaches who are blogging, writing books, creating corporate wellness programs, and offering one-on-one counseling sessions. Does this career sound better than your desk job? Do you want to alter your habits for the better and Be The Change?
The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) where I received my certification offers a variety of tuition plans to support your budget. If you have even a spark of interest, email me and I will happily share my personal experience as a student of IIN. I would love to get acquainted by phone, so please don’t hesitate to send me a message to set up a time that works for us both.
If you are skeptical about the power of holistic support, there are so many studies emerging affirming cancer and other terminal illnesses can be prevented and reversed by way of diet and lifestyle changes. The most recent of these can be read here on CBS news.
